learn mindfulness

What are the Courses like?

Mindfully Aware offers mindfulnesss courses and classes for those who are new to meditation as well as those who have some experience.

Our courses are deliberately structured so that over the weeks you are able to build up a range of mindfulness skills to help reduce your stress and suffering and generally improve your wellbeing. We include home practice suggestions as regular practice of mindfulness increases the brain's ability to repair itself and grow new neural connections. But the use it or lose it approach to physical exercise also applies to our brains so it's important to practice.

All our courses are secular (non-religious, non-spiritual) and have been written based on scientific research. They have been carefully selected from organisations that are leaders in the field of mindfulness practice and research and have been proven over many years to deliver benefits.

The courses are generally run for groups (public, private or for business) as this gives participants the chance to learn from each other. I understand how hard it can be to juggle work and family commitments; you may be in ill-health, have transport difficulties or live further afield. For this reason I offer private one to one courses either in person or via skype.

After you have completed a course we provide ongoing support via practice sessions and retreats.
